THE VAN-GOGH OF MIAMI

I am very happy to share a show with the legendary Purvis Young. I call Purvis the Van-Gogh of Miami. Purvis was the anti-Koons, he was poor and only riveted to his art. He was a mystic instead of a parasite. He spent his life getting always closer to his vision. Now the price of his paintings are skyrocketing and I am sure that if he was still alive he would not have even noticed. Charles Peguy the French poet use to say in 1900 you have the mystics in life who find something to live for and you have the parasites who live from other people inspiration. He was a rare artist, the only kind of artist. You can still see him with the eyes of memory on his bike in the streets of Miami with his huge book of visions on his steering wheel.
